Parents, if you have not yet done so, please e-mail me a 6-10 character password for use on the "Grades" page of this website (if you want to be able to access your child's grades online)!

History

This month we will wrap up the American Revolution and begin to think about that a new, and uniquely American government might look like. Students will contemplate the challenges facing the newly independent nation, and will brainstorm possible solutions to the problems. Our Asia map quiz will be on December 22nd, and Ms. Mahoney's last day with us will be December 23rd.

English

December will bring us to the final draft of our third writer's workshop piece (Querencia), and will see us starting the first drafts of our final piece (Tribute). Students are growing more comfortable with the BTP format and are increasingly successful with expanding their own ideas. We are continuing our study of adjectives, which should wrap up at the end of the month. In addition, sometime the week of December 15th students will begin reading Animal Farm. More details on that unit to follow via e-mail.
