I offer private tutoring both during the summer and the school year. Please note that I do NOT tutor 7th grade Pierce students, as I feel this is a conflict of interest. I do tutor Pierce 8th graders, however.

Private Summer Program Focused on Summer Reading
|
This year I will be offering a private summer program with a focus on summer reading for students entering grades 8 or 9 . Students will meet for 90 minutes per day (time to be determined based on participant feedback) over the course of one week in July. Together, we will read and discuss the core summer reading book for the assigned grade level. Groups limited to 5 students. Multiple weeks will be offered if there is significant interest in the program.
Overview of program: Students will be assigned reading each night for the following day, and will be provided with a guided reading handout (to include key vocabulary definitions, reading comprehension questions and prompts for critical thinking). The following day in our session, students will discuss the reading in depth.
Tuition will be $125 per student for the week. Extra time will be available for students after class for students who need additional reading support (for an additional charge). Location of program TBD.
This program is ideal for students who have struggled with completing summer reading assignments in the past or who just need more support to make the most of the book.
